– so I made my own exhibition catalogues by hand using photocopies, scrap paper, sticky tape and hand-typed titles. It has my artist essay, details of the development process and excerpts of the documentation –
Documentation from the other project I’ve been working on this year. For consistency this won’t be shown in my exhibition next week but it’s something that I’ve really enjoyed working on and plan to continue with. Its possible that eventually the strains of practice will come together in a future exhibition.

UOW officially opened its brand new postgraduate facilities this week! ‘Backstage Hope’ as the building is called houses a performance rehearsal space, individual offices, and visual arts studios (all completely brand new which is pretty exciting).
For the opening we had a little exhibition of work that we’d created in the studio.
This installation shot shows my two screen prints and a textile piece by Aprina.
Spent a few hours testing out my new screen. I was a little worried that the detail in the image would be too fine and hence wouldn’t print – but its all good! So I just worked with one screen and did a small test of a series of screens masked out to varying levels. Trying out ways to communicate all those stats I spent so much time with!
So I just worked with one screen and did a small test of a series of screens masked out to varying levels. I also had a play around with the different types of inks I was using – mixing with printing base to thin it out or alternatively with printing paste to make the ink thicker.
Trying out ways to communicate all those stats I spent so much time with! There was about 7 screens altogether.
